“Prescot Cables Bolster Defense with Fijian International Scott Wara in Major Squad Boost”
Prescot Cables are continuing to strengthen their squad for the upcoming season by signing Fijian center-back Scott Wara. This is their second central defender signing this week, following Nelson Digbeu’s move from Skelmersdale United to Valerie Park.
Wara previously played for NPL West side Stalybridge Celtic, making 18 appearances last season. The 24-year-old also featured in 71 matches over two seasons for Leek Town after leaving Stoke City’s academy.
The new Cables defender has earned five international caps for Fiji and represented his country at the OFC Nations Cup this summer, where Fiji reached the semi-finals.
