“The ‘A’ doesn’t change,” Jackson said. “Alabama is still a powerhouse, still leading college football. I just wanted a change and to reset my college career. I felt this was the best opportunity for me.”

Jackson felt confident in Alabama’s future after Kalen DeBoer was hired as Saban’s successor.

“I played against him, so I know what they’re capable of,” Jackson said, referring to his experience competing against DeBoer and his staff at the University of Washington. “He’s a winning coach, and the staff he’s bringing in will be great.”

Jackson has the potential for a breakout season this fall, with the skills to become one of the top outside cornerbacks in the country.
