Rangers advise senior trio to look for new teams, according to an Ibrox exclusive.
Rangers have notified Adam Devine, Alex Lowry, and Ianis Hagi that they can leave Ibrox before the August 31 transfer deadline, and that they are free to choose other clubs this summer, sources have told Football Insider.
As Philippe Clement looks to assemble his team for the upcoming campaign, the club is open to hearing permanent offers for all three players. Because the manager of the Gers has stated repeatedly this summer that the team must sell players in order to make room for new players, all three will be available during this window.
None of the three men participated in last weekend’s season opener against Hearts, and Clement decided they were surplus to requirements, so they all spent the previous campaign out on loan. None even saw time on the bench.
Rangers intends to put the proceeds from sales back into the team. Before the transfer window closes, Clement wants to bolster the team, and selling three players would increase his transfer budget. Football Insider revealed the Rangers boss is working on signing two “top-class” forwards in this transfer window.
Football Insider revealed that Rangers are targeting Lawrence Shankland and Morgan Whittaker, but selling some players will be necessary to make those dreams a reality. Clement wants a “first-class” winger and a striker in his squad to help them push Celtic in the title race this season.
Today, the Scottish powerhouses begin their third qualifying round campaign at home against Dynamo Kyiv in the opening leg of the match.
