Huijsen regrets leaving Juventus and tells them so before joining Bournemouth.
With a touching statement on social media, Dean Huijsen announces his departure from Juventus. He adds that he hoped to “show more” at the Allianz Stadium and that he may return in the future.
Huijsen will go through medical testing with the Premier League team on Saturday before finalizing a permanent €18 million transfer to Bournemouth. At the age of sixteen, Huijsen moved from Malaga to join Juventus’ development program. He played just once for the Bianconeri senior team.
He was on loan at Roma for the second half of the previous season, where he made 14 appearances and netted two goals in all competitions for the Giallorossi. Huijsen, who was born in the Netherlands but holds a Spanish passport, chose to play for La Roja and recently earned his U21 squad debut.
On Friday, the talented defender announced on Instagram that he was leaving Juventus. Prior to his transfer to Bournemouth, Huijsen confirms his departure from Juventus and expresses regret. “At the age of sixteen, I came to Vinovo full of emotion, hope, and the desire to wear the first team shirt someday. I will always be appreciative of the support I had from a wonderful club and its members who helped me along the way,” he added.
“I appreciate all of my fans for having faith in me. Your love and passion for our team inspired me to always give my all, even though I wanted to showcase even more of my abilities when playing at the Allianz Stadium.
“I appreciate you having me and sharing your happiness and sorrow with me. My life and my heart will always be fundamentally connected to Juventus. “This is a goodbye, not a final farewell. Regardless of where I go, I will always be there for you, supporting you. “With love and appreciation, Dean Huijsen.” Juventus will make an initial offer for Jean-Clair Todibo, who can join the Serie A powerhouses on an initial loan agreement with an obligation to buy, after Huijsen’s sale to Bournemouth.
