Analyst believes that one cowboy’s contract will soon be finished.
As if losing badly at home to the newest club in the playoffs wasn’t awful enough, the Dallas Cowboys have been the most disappointing team in the league for months due to their inability to complete any off-season business.
They lost a number of players, signed none of the elite free agents, especially running backs, and now their best offensive player is enraged because Dak Prescott was not given a new contract. Despite how dire things appear in Arlington, NFL analyst Mike Golic Jr. thinks a settlement will eventually be reached.
Speaking on his GoJo and Golic podcast, he said that this deadlock is a clear indication of Jerry Jones’ true feelings about his roster because, aside from Prescott and Lamb, there isn’t much to be thrilled about on offense.
Prescott needs someone to throw the ball to, he said, so they will have to accede to Lamb’s demands and sign him as quickly as possible. Notably, if the Cowboys had signed him before Justin Jefferson signed a contract, they could have avoided this whole mess. They only have themselves to blame now because they will probably have to make amends and give him additional money that is guaranteed.
One of the biggest reasons the Cowboys are no longer a top choice for free agents is because of their incessant mind games and contract management practices, which have enraged its great players.
