Exclusive: Fijiana XV is getting ready for the Dubai WXV3 Tournament.
Going into the WXV3 tournament in Dubai, the Vodafone Fijiana XV is about to set out on an important adventure. As the team gets ready for the Rugby World Cup in 2025, this competition represents a crucial turning point. Commendably, the Vodafone Fijiana XV has risen to 14th place in the World Rugby rankings following an outstanding start to the international season that saw them record four strong wins and qualify for both the Rugby World Cup and WXV3.
The team is now prepared to begin an intense 7-week training block that will be critical to their success in WXV3 and setting a strong basis for the 2017 World Cup, having just enjoyed a well-earned rest. Alana Thomas, High Performance Manager for Fiji Rugby Women, stated, “WXV3 is an important component of our RWC 2025 preparations.”
We are excited to see how we stack up against some of the more powerful countries in the run-up to the tournament since the team has demonstrated incredible progress and resiliency. Spain, Hong Kong, China, and Samoa will be the fiercest opponents the Fijiana XV will play against at WXV3. Beginning on September 27, the WXV3 tournament will take place. Before DTE kicks off in Nadi on July 22, the Vodafone Fijiana XV team is presently following a personal training regiment.
