“Alvaro Morata in Talks for AC Milan Move as European Champion Eyes New Challenge”
Spain captain Alvaro Morata is in discussions to join AC Milan for £10.9 million.
The 31-year-old former Chelsea striker has played a key role in Spain’s young squad, leading them to the European Championship title, but has faced criticism from fans due to his goal-scoring struggles.
While Manchester United and clubs from Saudi Arabia have shown some interest in the Atletico Madrid forward, negotiations with Milan are progressing, as they are open to meeting his release clause.
Although no deal has been finalized, talks are ongoing.
Morata gained prominence at Real Madrid, spending four seasons there before moving to Juventus in 2014. After two years in Serie A, Chelsea signed him in 2017 for £65 million, following a brief return to Real.
His time at Stamford Bridge was challenging, with 24 goals in 72 appearances. He then returned to Madrid, this time with Atletico, where he scored 21 goals in 48 games last season and recently capped off the summer with a European Championship winners’ medal after the Euro 2024 final.
