“Tyreek Hill Focused on Super Bowl, Not Contract Negotiations”
Tyreek Hill wants his quarterback, Tua Tagovailoa, to secure a good contract. While Hill also wants to be paid, he isn’t worried about it right now.
Hill expressed confidence that his contract extension with the Miami Dolphins will come at the right time.
“I’m really happy with my current situation,” Hill told ESPN, via a video from Omar Kelly of the Miami Herald. “I believe the Dolphins will do right by me when the time comes. Right now, my focus is on helping the team win the Super Bowl. Entering my ninth year, money isn’t my main concern. The most important thing is to achieve something lasting for our brotherhood, fans, and organization. If we can do that, I’ll be satisfied.”
Hill has a fully guaranteed contract with a $19.665 million base salary for this season, but no guaranteed money afterward. This offseason, other receivers like Justin Jefferson, A.J. Brown, Amon-Ra St. Brown, and his teammate Jaylen Waddle have received contract extensions.
“The contract will come when it comes, and I’ll be happy with it,” Hill said.
In the past two seasons with Miami, Hill has made 238 receptions for 3,509 yards and 20 touchdowns, earning two more All-Pro honors.
