Jonnu Smith Criticizes Buffalo Ahead of Upcoming Dolphins-Bills Game
In his eighth season, Jonnu Smith is now with his fourth team. The Dolphins are the second AFC East team he has joined, and it’s evident he will never play for the other two teams in the division.
During an appearance on The Dive Bar Podcast, Smith criticized Buffalo, its chicken wings, and Bills fans.
“That’s why the fans hate so much because they want to be down here [in Miami],” Smith said, as reported by Ryan Talbot of newyorkupstate.com. “Have you ever been to Buffalo? Oh my gosh, man. I don’t know how those guys do it. I don’t know how they live there. It must be the worst place you could be.”
Smith, 28, signed a two-year, $8.4 million contract with the Dolphins in the offseason after spending four seasons in Tennessee, two in New England, and one in Atlanta.
He has a 1-1 record in games played in Buffalo, having missed the Week 18 game of the 2022 season while with the Patriots.
“The Buffalo wings aren’t even good,” Smith added. “They aren’t even good. I’m calling out Buffalo. Taking all kinds of shots at Buffalo.”
The Dolphins are scheduled to play in Buffalo on November 3, and Bills fans will surely have a response for Smith.
