UNCOVERED: Kirk Cousins’ two primary reasons for leaving the Vikings were made public.

Justin Jefferson speaks openly about the Vikings quarterbacks and Kirk Cousins’ exit.

Star Justin Jefferson of the Minnesota Vikings exudes confidence. No matter who his quarterback was during Super Bowl week in 2024, he would still be the same athlete.

Kirk Cousins was a free agent and the Vikings had to deal with the possibility that he would go. However, Cousins signed a four-year, $108 million deal with the Atlanta Falcons.

For the former Vikings quarterback, Jefferson claims he could see the writing on the wall.

On July 9, Jefferson spoke to Rich Eisen on “The Rich Eisen Show,” “I always knew Kirk was going to do whatever he needs to do… business-wise.” And I knew that this wasn’t how he wanted things to be at all, especially because I had to pay so many other guys in addition to myself. It seems like all he wanted was a fresh start, a chance to start over with Atlanta, and a blank canvas.

He signed a contract with the Falcons on March 11, just after the start of free agency.

Jefferson said to Eisen, “It’s on to the next.” “In my opinion, it is not that important which quarterback it is. I will always strive to take advantage of the chance as best I can. I will always make an effort to be the quarterback’s friend and ease his workload. Thus, it makes no difference if it was Kirk, J.J. [McCarthy], or Sam [Darnold]. I’ll do all in my power to make things simple for him.

Jefferson talked about the new Netflix series “Receiver,” which is a spin-off of the well-liked “Quarterback” series on the network. The episode will feature Jefferson’s 2023 seven-week absence due to a hamstring ailment.
Notably, in five games without Cousins after his return, he had 503 yards and two touchdowns on 32 receptions.
