“Brighton Faces Crucial Summer as Bundesliga Clubs Eye Key Players”
Brighton & Hove Albion are set for a significant summer under new manager Fabian Hurzeler, but it seems a major Bundesliga club is eyeing their star forward.
Roberto De Zerbi led Brighton to a Europa League spot in his first season and nearly reached an FA Cup final, but the second season was less successful. Consequently, Brighton and De Zerbi parted ways, and they appointed St Pauli manager Fabian Hurzeler, who has no Premier League experience.
Brighton might lose their 18-goal striker, Denis Undav, to a Bundesliga team. Despite Brighton’s plans to retain him after a successful loan spell at VfB Stuttgart, Stuttgart’s CEO, Alexander Wehrle, expressed their intent to secure Undav, though within financial limits.
Additionally, Pascal Gross is close to moving to Borussia Dortmund, but Brighton has signed Feyenoord midfielder Mats Wieffer for £30 million.
Holding onto Undav is crucial for Brighton, as his 18 goals in the Bundesliga show his potential to be a key player under Hurzeler. Keeping him would also support the development of Evan Ferguson, making it essential for Brighton to retain the German striker beyond this summer.
