Recently, former North Carolina standout disclosed his exact earnings during his collegiate years.
Bacott appeared in an interview that was Armando Bacot published on Tuesday on “Run the Race,” which was hosted by AJ Richardson and Theo Pinson. Bacott was asked how much money he made while attending school from deals including his name, likeness, and appearance.
Bacott claimed to have made more than $2 million. He said that his large income was a result of the Tar Heels brand.
“That speaks to Carolina’s brand,” Bacot remarked. “Visiting Carolina is profitable. I was never able to speak poorly of Carolina.
“I played basketball in college and won money that changed my life. For this reason, I will always be grateful to Carolina as a brand. It’s absurd to earn more than $2 million in college.
Bacot started his collegiate career in 2019 and participated in every game of the previous campaign. After being granted an additional year of eligibility because of the 2020 COVID-shortened season, he completed five full seasons of competition.
Bacot had three advantages during his time in college: he was a skilled player, he played for a prestigious university and maintained his profession and gained some notoriety. He was able to make a sizable income while attending college because to all those things combined.
Throughout his collegiate career, Bacot averaged 13.9 points and 10.1 rebounds per game. After going undrafted the previous week, he signed a contract with the Utah Jazz.
