EXCLUSIVE: Rangers announce the departure of two key players in their desperate quest to sign Abdallah Sima.

The Rangers will sell two key players, exclusively, before making a bid for Abdallah Sima.

Before considering making an offer for loan star Abdallah Sima, Rangers will need to offload two key players, sources have told Football Insider. Sima, 23, is prepared to seek for a move away from Brighton after they decided to sign two high-profile forwards, according to information obtained by Football Insider on Monday, July 1.

But it’s thought the Premier League team is looking to pay £8 million for the forward—a sum Rangers hasn’t paid in almost 20 years. Sima is a Senegalese international who is eager to go after spending the 2023–24 season at Ibrox, therefore Philippe Clement’s team will be first in line to sign him this summer.

However, the Rangers will need to sell players over the off-season in order to earn the necessary cash. Rangers may fund Sima deal by sales of Tavernier and Goldson. This summer, there may be a talent exodus led by James Tavernier and Connor Goldson, who are in high demand at Ibrox.

Sima joined Brighton three years ago, but his contract expires in June 2025, and he has yet to play for the senior team.

The Senegal international, who can play center forward and on the left and right sides, finished the previous season on loan at Rangers with 16 goals and 2 assists.

In 39 games overall for the Ibrox club during the 2023–24 season, he made 29 starts.
