Murillo has addressed rumors about his future following Chelsea’s inquiry to Nottingham Forest about the 6ft defender.

The Brazilian garnered significant attention after an impressive debut season with Forest last year. With Tosin Adarabioyo already signed, Chelsea is looking to add another center-back, especially with Trevoh Chalobah potentially leaving and Thiago Silva already gone.

According to football.london, Murillo is a top target for Chelsea this summer, and they have approached Forest regarding a possible transfer. However, reports indicate that Forest’s valuation of over £60 million was too steep for Chelsea. It has been suggested that Chelsea might consider a cash-plus-players offer, possibly including Chalobah. Murillo played 36 games for Forest in all competitions last season, with 32 appearances in the Premier League.

The fearless defender didn’t make a single error leading to a goal last season and earned several player of the month awards for his outstanding performances.

Addressing the rumors and the potential of replacing Silva, whom he greatly admires, Murillo told the Benja Me Mucho podcast: “We don’t know anything for sure, but if it happens, it would be a big responsibility to replace Silva.

We don’t know anything certain yet; the window only opened last month, so I’ll return to Nottingham Forest for pre-season. There might be discussions about whether I’ll stay or not, so a lot can still happen, but I’m staying calm.”

When asked which other Premier League club he would choose, Murillo added: “I’d pick Manchester City, but it would be harder to become a regular starter given their squad. There’s also City and Arsenal, who are competing for the Premier League title."Reports: Murillo Discusses Future Amid Premier League Pursuit and Silva's Legacy...Read More"

“I wouldn’t rule out Liverpool either; it would be a good chance for me to showcase my football at a big club.”

Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur, Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, and Barcelona have also been linked with the 21-year-old. Atletico Madrid is reported to have held talks with his representatives, while Juventus reportedly ruled themselves out due to being unable to accommodate another non-EU player in their squad.
