“Bidding War Looms for Leeds United Winger Crysencio Summerville”
Paris Saint-Germain, a major force in the Champions League, have reportedly entered the competition to sign Leeds United winger Crysencio Summerville, joining Aston Villa and several Premier League clubs.
Last season, the Dutch player scored an impressive 19 goals and provided nine assists in 43 Championship matches for Leeds. In the prior season in the Premier League, he managed just four goals in 24 matches, as he had less experience at that time.
According to the Dutch outlet De Telegraaf, PSG have already reached out to Leeds’ management and Summerville’s representatives to begin transfer discussions. Liverpool and Chelsea have also shown interest, making inquiries to Leeds.
Brighton & Hove Albion were in advanced negotiations but declined to meet Summerville’s requested signing-on fee. Although Aston Villa haven’t been mentioned recently, they were heavily linked to Summerville at the end of last season and could still make a move.
A bidding war for Summerville could be on the horizon. Fabrizio Romano has described the situation as complex, with many clubs interested in tapping into Summerville’s potential. His ability to play on either wing adds valuable versatility for any team looking to acquire him.
Due to the widespread interest, a bidding war is possible. Local reports indicate that Leeds will likely set the asking price at around £40 million. Aston Villa, now free from spending restrictions, could join the fray by making an offer.
