“Rangers Target Abdallah Sima Eyes Brighton Exit After New Signings”
Rangers target Abdallah Sima is set to seek a move from Brighton after the club secured two high-profile forward signings, according to Football Insider sources.
New manager Fabian Huerzeler will evaluate his Brighton squad during pre-season training this month.
In a recent development, Brighton bolstered their wide forward options by signing Yankuba Minteh from Newcastle in a club-record £33m deal announced on Sunday.
Ibrahim Osman has also completed his transfer from FC Nordsjaelland to the Amex Stadium and will join the squad for pre-season.
It’s believed that Sima, 23, is unlikely to secure a place in Huerzeler’s Brighton squad for the 2024-25 season and will seek an exit.
Rangers target Sima is nearing a Brighton exit after the two new signings.
The Senegal international spent the 2023-24 season on loan at Rangers, where the Glasgow club hopes to sign him permanently.
Sima, who can play on both flanks and as a center-forward, scored 16 goals and provided two assists for Rangers, making 39 appearances, 29 as a starter.
Sima joined Brighton from Slavia Prague in 2021 but has yet to appear for the Premier League team. The five-cap international is under contract with Brighton until June 2025.
