“Tyreek Hill Eyes New Deal as Wide Receiver Contracts Soar”
Miami Dolphins wide receiver Tyreek Hill still has three years left on his current contract, but he appears eager for a new deal sooner rather than later.
Amidst a series of high-value contracts being signed by top NFL wide receivers, Hill expressed his desire for a new contract during a conversation with Aaron Wilson of KPRC 2 Houston. Hill praised his Dolphins teammate Jaylen Waddle before talking about his own contract situation.
“I’m thrilled to have been part of the previous wave at $30 million, and it’s great to see Justin Jefferson surpassing that,” Hill said. “I’m happy for my teammate Waddle getting his new deal. At 30 years old, I’m also looking for a new contract, and I’m excited to see where I fit in. It’s amazing.”
This statement is notable considering Hill is set to earn over $19.6 million this season, with his salary increasing to $21.835 million in 2025 and peaking at $43.9 million in 2026, the final year of his contract.
The Dolphins would likely aim to renegotiate Hill’s contract before its final year, but the eight-time Pro Bowler seems prepared to push for a new deal sooner.
