“Orel Mangala’s Impactful Tenure: From The Reds to Lyon and the Belgium National Team”
The midfielder joined The Reds in July 2022 and made 31 appearances in his first season on Trentside, helping the team achieve a 16th-place finish in their first Premier League campaign in 23 years.
Mangala then played 22 times in the first half of the 2023/24 season before being loaned to Lyon for the second half of the campaign.
The Belgian international was crucial in Lyon’s remarkable turnaround last season, helping them escape the relegation zone and finish sixth in Ligue 1, securing a spot in the next season’s UEFA Europa League.
During his time with Forest, the 26-year-old also became a regular in the Belgium national team and has played in every match for the Red Devils at Euro 2024.
