Leicester midfielder Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall agrees to a €35 million deal with Chelsea.

For almost £30 million (€35 million), Chelsea has signed Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, a midfielder for Leicester. The 25-year-old, who worked with Chelsea’s new manager Enzo Maresca last season, has agreed to a six-year contract at Stamford Bridge. Even though the Foxes lost a crucial player, the acquisition will be very beneficial to their efforts to adhere to the Premier League’s sustainability and profitability regulations.

Since the midfield player progressed through the ranks at King Power Stadium, the fee is shown as pure profit. During his 120 Foxes appearances, he scored 17 goals, 12 of which came during the team’s Premier League promotion the previous season.

“Well, what can I say?” he posted on Instagram. What a trip it has been. I’ve spent the last 17 years of my life in this club, and I enjoy it. I’ve had an incredible time at this football club and have made some lifelong friends and memories that I will never forget. “After our 22–23 season, I felt personally accountable for my role in our relegation. “I knew how disastrous it could be for a club if we didn’t make it back to the Premier League, so I made it my mission to make sure we did it within the first season.

“I’m really happy of what we accomplished last season as a team—making lifelong memories for each other. More importantly, though, is that it should help make up for the injustices of that relegation season. It’s believed Leicester wants to sign Michael Golding of Chelsea in a different deal.
