In the thirty-first minute of the game, Manu caused the damage while trying to fend off Adam Doueihi. He will now have surgery.

With outside backs Junior Pauga, Joseph-Aukuso Sua’ali’i, Billy Smith, and Robert Toia all out with injuries or on the sidelines, coach Trent Robinson’s dilemma is getting worse.

Star Storm player Xavier Coates hurt his hamstring during Saturday night’s victory over the Raiders, thus he will miss the Origin final.

The dismal news was verified by scans early on Sunday morning. The winger is expected to be out for six to eight weeks due to a low-grade injury.

Six minutes from the end, a distraught Coates emerged from the field, having dived to try to score on a Tyran Wishart kick and telling teammates he had hurt his hamstring while the bunker was analyzing the play.

He suffered a two-week injury to the same hamstring against South Sydney in Round 8. During the preseason, Coates sustained a hamstring injury as well.

With center Jack Howarth sidelined for one to two weeks following a minor strain to his glute during the victory, it was a double blow for the Storm.

Meanwhile, Jeremy Marshall-King’s limping off the field during Sunday’s match against St George Illawarra dealt a setback to the Dolphins.

Later on, a right foot injury forced the hooker to miss the rest of the game.

At Netstrata Jubilee, the Dragons lost winger Mat Feagai to a shoulder joint injury in the first half.

Superstar Tom Trbojevic of the Sea Eagles is expected to play center during the match against the Cowboys in Townsville after recovering from a hamstring injury in Round 18.

On Saturday, the team declared that Trbojevic, who had a hamstring injury in Round 10, had recovered enough to play in his first game since the injury.

After being cleared of a serious shoulder ailment, Hamiso Tabuai-Fidow has given the Maroons a significant boost.

The injury to the outside back happened during the first half of Wednesday’s matchup against the Blues. In the second half, he came back onto the pitch.

According to scans, Tabuai-Fidow suffered a grade one AC joint injury, which will prevent him from playing for the Dolphins against St George Illawarra on Sunday. In his stead, Trai Fuller most likely will be featured.

Fortunately, Tabuai-Fidow is anticipated to be eligible for selection for the July 17 decider.

Broncos back-rower Jack Gosiewski was confirmed to have a broken arm during Saturday’s loss to the Warriors by scans conducted in Auckland. The team anticipates that Gosiewski will be out for two months as a result of the injury.

Prop Fletcher Baker is expected to be out for four to six weeks following ligament injury to his knee. He is currently awaiting scans.

According to the NRL’s 11-day concussion guidelines, hooker Phoenix Crossland of Newcastle will miss his team’s Round 18 match against Canberra.

Late in the game against the Eels, Crossland took a knock while trying a tackle on Maika Sivo and departed the field for an HIA.

Due to nagging injuries, both Storm fullback Ryan Papenhuyzen (foot) and Dragons winger Zac Lomax (shoulder) had to withdraw late from Round 17. Their teams chose to be cautious.

After it is confirmed that he will miss at least three months due to back surgery, J’maine Hopgood will need the Eels to make it deep into the finals if he hopes to play for them again in 2024.

The Eels announced in a statement that Hopgood will have a microdiscectomy, requiring a 12-week recuperation period, after consulting with physicians.

Warriors halfback Shaun Johnson’s recurrent Achilles tendon injury, which worsened during the team’s Round 16 loss to the Titans, will keep him out of action for at least four weeks.

The 33-year-old spent a significant portion of the first half of the season dealing with Achilles problems, missing numerous training sessions in order to play in games. Andrew Webster disclosed that the ailment had gotten worse to the point where he was unable to continue playing and would be out until it healed.
