Real Betis are finalizing the last details of a transfer for Southampton defender Romain Perraud, with only minor points left to settle.
According to Diario de Sevilla, Southampton is expected to announce Perraud’s departure soon.
The newspaper notes that Perraud will be Betis’ first signing for the 2024/25 season, with the transfer process proceeding smoothly.
The Spanish club has agreed on a deal with Southampton valued at just over €3 million, with only the usual minor details remaining to be addressed.
All parties are optimistic, and there is strong confidence that the transfer will be completed and officially announced soon. Perraud is already preparing for his new club by following a physical exercise regimen, which he has been sharing on social media.
His move will end a three-year tenure at Southampton, where he arrived in a €12 million transfer from Stade Brestois in July 2021. Last season, he was on loan at OGC Nice, who chose not to make the move permanent, allowing Betis to step in.
